Region 18 CYO Champs!
Monday, February 13, 2012 at 3:37PM Congradulations to all of the boys on their championship game! It was a short but amazing playoff run. In the semis we squeaked out a last minute win against St. Mary's. In the championship game, we needed to go to double over-time to beat St. Basil's, and be awarded the well deserved trophies.
If you weren't at the game, you missed a sold out Sacred Heart gym, cheering so loud the coach's couldn't hear themselves in the huddle, and an atmosphere that would challenge most high school playoff games.
In the years since I've been coaching basketball at HFS CYO (13 +), I must say that was THE most exciting game I've ever seen, much less been a part of.
Thanks to all the parents, family and friends that came out to support us. Now it's on to the Philadelphia Archdiocese Tournament, and hopefully a few more wins! If not, at least we'll know we finished on top!
